Fiscal Responsibility (12/8/2025)

There was a call for fiscal responsibility and transparency during the public comment and tax portions of the meeting. There were three speakers for public forum: Rebekah Bradfield, Dianna Delaney, and Brad Nelson. Rebekah asked for clearer financials particularly in regards to construction updates. Dianna wanted more opportunities for public speaking. Brad asked for better dialogue between the board and community members.

After the tax presentation by Tim Wald and Andi Johnson, a number of communities members addressed the board. One gentleman wanted to understand why there is such a large portion of levies that don't require voter approval. Another expressed his frustration with the unaffordability of the taxes. Many brought up the irresponsibility of the current district budget and frivolous construction projects. Tim Klecker asked about the return on investment of our tax dollars given current test scores and enrollment numbers.

Overall, community members want clearer communication and better accountability for the way our tax dollars are being spent.
